Once long before memories had been restored on the island the distant equines and lupines had lived in harmony amongst each other. There had been minimal squabbling and next to no questions on equality. But soon some of the equines believed they had held an upper hand to the wolves and had started to treat them as slaves. Those who wished the harmony be unrifted had created a temple to try to restore the balance. Death and decay had begun to creep upon their home as the species kept fighting. After the shrine of Talos was complete a war broke out devastating the lands that surrounded the holy building. Soon the species had next to wiped each other out but the few remaining equines and canines had enough strength left to replenish the lands. They made unique artifacts to help restore the life to the islands, but not without a fatal price. They sacrificed their pure souls to help revive the island, and it had worked. They buried these artifacts deep into the temple, to hopefully be touched by none. But even with the life replenished and harmony restored a blood red moon shone above the temple, a reminder of the past.
No one knows how the horses and wolves returned to the island but they had returned centuries later. The temple was still standing but much less protected and grand as it had once been. No one knew of the artifacts until three horses had stumbled upon the ancient carving to the entrance of the shrine. They had spent many years analyzing and piecing together the puzzle of what kept the island alive. When they finally figured out about the artifacts they had rushed to tell everyone of their discovery. But with such knowledge had came greed and desire of power. The story of the past had not been lesson enough to the two species and the equines still found themselves superior. The alliances bickered and argued over the fact wolves were allowed to have a royal throne as well. They were treated like vassals, shoved to the side like they had no voice or opinion in the matter.
In the midst of the chaos a mischievous band of five canines and horses had slunk into the temple unnoticed. They ran out with the precious artifacts so important to their home unaware of the trouble they would arouse. The lands started rotting off, the flowers died quicker and the grass toughened faster. The water was not as fresh as it had once been and now the mountains were staring to slowly crumble away to nothing but rubble. But the horses and wolves inhabiting the lands paid no attention to such signs too caught up in their fight of rights until recently. Now the ground shook beneath their legs and the oceans raged all but a few hours at night. The moon now hung scarlet hued in the skies about the entire island and the taste of ash tinged the air. The island is finally figuring out that the artifacts were missing but they are oblivious to the fact that the only way to save their home is to band together and find the thieves, or face a treacherous war. Will you choose to fight among your brethren in chaos or track down those heartless thieves? Welcome to Oriens, where bloodshed is the least of anyone's worries.
